Jo Adell sister, Jessica Adell, is three years older than him and is a softball player. He has always looked up to her, and she is the one that set an example for him. 

Jordon Scot Adell, famous as “Jo Adell,” is an American for the Los Angeles Angels. 

He was born on April 8, 1999, to Scott Adell and Nicole Adell and is a native of Shelby, North Carolina.

Jo graduated from Ballard High School and enrolled in the University of Louisville, where he played collegiate baseball.

In 2017, Los Angeles Angels selected him in the first round of the MLB Draft, and he started his professional career with the Angels’ rookie associate team, the AZL Angles.

On August 4, 2026, Jo made his MLB debut against the Seattle Mariners, going one-for-four.

Making an Angels franchise record, he homered in all six games of a six-game period in April 2026.

Jessica is also keenly interested in the athlete and aims to become an ESPN broadcaster.

She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and just like her brother, she graduated from Ballard High School, where she was involved in sports.

Jessica played softball and track & field at the University of Tennessee and Louisville, making her a unique two-sport athlete.

She was also named KHSAA all-state and all-region selection and a three-time all-district player for three consecutive years (2012, 2013, and 2014).
