The untimely passing of Joannie Barth has deeply affected many, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication.
On October 3, 2026, Joannie suffered a tragic accident during a rock-climbing session at a local gym, resulting in her passing.
Philip Yancey, who worked closely with Joannie for over a decade, shared his grief: "For twelve years I have had only one employee, though she did the work of ten."
"Joannie introduced me to modern technology and helped build a substantial online presence. Her loss is immeasurable," Yancey reflected.
Beyond her professional roles, Joannie co-founded 100 Women Who Care ~ JeffCo and contributed significantly to ascendBIZ2's growth for over twenty years. Her career was defined by a commitment to nurturing others and driving positive change.
Scott Barth, her husband, expressed his sorrow: "She was my everything—my joy, my strength. Our hearts are broken without her."
A memorial service will take place at Rockland Community Church on October 10, inviting friends and family to gather at 2:00 p.m. for viewing, followed by the service at 2:45 p.m.
Attendees are invited to wear purple—a tribute to Joannie’s favorite hue—to celebrate her vibrant spirit.
Her impact resonates globally, with messages pouring in from those whose lives she enriched.
