Sebastien 'Sebby' Roland Edouard Breton, a junior at McDaniel College, tragically died on March 29, 2026, in his dormitory residence. The circumstances leading to his passing remain undetermined.

The 21-year-old is survived by his parents, Renald J. Breton, and Florence Breton, along with his sisters Bianca Breton.

Both parents maintain a quiet stance regarding Breton's sudden loss.

His sibling Isabella, currently pursuing business studies at Robert H. Smith School of Business, has not yet commented publicly. She completed her secondary education at Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School in 2026.

Born on September 26, 2003, at Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC, Sebby grew up in Potomac, Maryland, under the care of his parents Renald and Florence Breton.

He graduated from Churchill High School in 2026. Initially joining cross country and track as a freshman without excessive pressure, his commitment blossomed into exceptional athleticism.

By his senior year, Sebby earned recognition as a Washington Post All-Met runner, demonstrating relentless perseverance across academics and sports at McDaniel College.

His freshman season showcased remarkable potential: 2:10.32 in the 800m at Bison Opener, 9:05.66 in the 3000m, and 16:19.62 in the 5000m at Mini-Dip Invite. The 2026 Centennial Conference Indoor Championships saw him clock 16:32.77 over 5000m, securing top contention.

At McDaniel, he ranked 8th in 5000m and 9th in 3000m among program history leaders.

Family and friends may visit Pumphrey’s Colonial Funeral Home at 300 W. Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD, on April 13, 5-8 p.m. A Roman Catholic funeral Mass occurs at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1513 Dunster Road, Rockville, MD, on April 14 at 12 noon.

Our thoughts remain with the Breton family during this heartbreaking period.
