The Bills hold the distinction of being the only NFL franchise to reach four Super Bowls without securing a victory.
Alongside the Minnesota Vikings, they lead in appearances without a win, showcasing consistent excellence over decades.
From 1991 to 1994, the Bills made four straight Super Bowl runs, remaining winless in these high-stakes games.
Their fourth Super Bowl appearance ended in a 30-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on January 30, 1994.
Despite falling short in championships, the Bills captured AFL championships in 1964 and 1965 under coaches Lou Saban and Joe Collier prior to the league merger.
In their inaugural AFL title game on December 26, 1964, they defeated the San Diego Chargers 20-7 at Buffalo's War Memorial Stadium.
They repeated as champions in 1966, only to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs 31-7 in the inaugural AFL-NFL World Championship Game.
The Bills' First Super Bowl Was Against the New York Giants!
The Bills debuted in Super Bowl XXV on January 27, 1991, facing the Giants at Tampa Stadium in Florida.
Led by Jim Kelly and Marv Levy, they nearly claimed their first title but lost 20-19 after Scott Norwood's missed field goal.
Earlier, they defeated the LA Raiders 51-3 to secure their first Super Bowl berth.
Their second appearance saw them fall to the Washington Redskins 37-24 in Super Bowl XXVI, extending their losing streak.
In Super Bowl XXVII on January 31, 1993, the Bills suffered a devastating 52-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at the Rose Bowl.
Turnovers and injuries plagued their performance, including Kelly's early exit and nine turnovers—the most in Super Bowl history.
Though they met the Cowboys twice more, the Bills couldn't break their losing pattern.
