Northview High School Baseball Star Colten Terril Passes Away at 15
Colten William Terril, a promising athlete for the Silver Knights, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of sportsmanship and youthful enthusiasm. Born on June 22, 2010, in Brazil, Indiana, Colten began his baseball journey at the tender age of five, quickly distinguishing himself as a standout player.
His dedication to the sport was evident as he wore the number six and played left-handed despite being right-handed, earning him the affectionate nickname "Bambino" among peers and coaches alike. Colten's talent as a first baseman was widely recognized, and he eagerly anticipated his high school debut with the Northview Knights, a moment unfortunately cut short.
Beyond the diamond, Colten cherished the outdoors, indulging in fishing, hunting, and working on cars. His love for nature and the simple joys of life endeared him to many, making his passing a profound loss to his community.
Colten is survived by his loving parents, John and Elizabeth Terril, and his younger sisters, Karsyn and Kamryn. He is also remembered by his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Carlene Dickison, maternal grandparents Wilbur and Sharon Stearley, and numerous other family members and friends. A visitation is planned for November 29, 2026, offering a chance for loved ones to gather and honor his memory.
May Colten's spirit continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us all of the impact one life can have in the hearts of many.
