Jack Sexton, a Brunswick, Maryland Native and football player, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2026, at an untimely age of 13, leaving behind his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

According to some social media reports, the untimely death of Jack Sexton came after suffering a tragic seizure.

He was starting his athletic journey, aiming to become a professional football player.

Furthermore, Jack Sexton was the 8th-grade varsity football player at the Brunswick Junior Railroaders’ men’s football team. Wearing jersey #77, he left a remarkable impact in the field, winning the hearts of many.

The untimely death of Jack Sexton has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to the late Jack Sexton and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

BJR Athletics took to its official social media to announce the untimely death of their beloved football star and pay tribute to him.

The post reads:

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our 8th grade Varisty football players Jack Sexton.He was a remarkable young man who touched the lives of so many with his kindness, energy, attitude and his love for the game. His teammates and coaches admired him deeply, and his impact will never be forgotten.Jack will always be part of our team and family. His spirit will live on in our hearts and on the field forever. #77.”

Similarly, his aunt Ashlie Marie Hitchcock took to her social media and wrote:

“Jack came into our lives and had the biggest impact on us all. He became more like a son to Justin and I than a nephew. He was paislees best friend from day one.”

The Brunswick, Maryland, community has created a to help Kayla Sexton, his mother, financially during this difficult time.

The fundraiser aims to raise 30k, and to date, around $27,310 has been raised, which is 92 percent of the total goal.

Jack Sexton’s cheerful and kind nature, along with his contributions to the community, will always be remembered.

In addition to his mother, Jack Sexton is survived by his siblings, grandparents, uncle, aunts, and the whole family.
